Everyone has a inpiration or to be precise a Demi-God who they worship and follow them to make their path a glorious one. These days even a TED-X speech instills a lot of courage and evoke inspiration in millions. (No offence for Ted-X videos). But still the inspiration or the Demi-God always fade away in some days while we grow up or sometimes it makes us a fanatic. We like to imitate them, follow their way and dress up like them. Most children in their young age without knowing who would have dressed up for their fancy dress competitions. But that’s not the way with inspirations. We read every interview of them, memorise their favourite lines byheart and instill their doings in our day to day habits. Well they are no magicians, but they do magic within ourselves that we change our lives by seeing them.
Well, the readers may think why is he lamenting this long ? But its all about my inspiration and how he influenced my life. My first contact with him was when I got bemused by watching a computer. It may be Bill Gates who has popularised the computers in Indian scenario and the way Windows XP has gelled within our lives wasnt that fascinating to me. It was the Apple computer that I saw in a realtive house and I asked what it is. Till then I have seen only a windows desktop pc and the white thing that was pristine in its color and its clarity and the features that it showcased really amazed me. I asked my realtive what it was and he told me that it was the Apple computers. Fascinatingly, he had the Steve Jobs wallpaper with an apple in his hand. Till then I have heard only of Newton’s apple and I was confused why this apple was with Steve Jobs ? Then as my cousin shared his knowledge about Steve Jobs, I wanted to know more about him. Owning a PC at that time was very not affordable and the apple was even more costly. So I went to my school libary and asked my Librarian about Steve Jobs. He quickly said “Oh.. The Apple guy” and the scene picked up amusement immediatly. He brought me a history about the apple company and I didnt what many terms meant. I was only studying 6th grade and I couldnt get hold of anything other than the company names and the pictures of various computers. As years went, eventhough I didnt have a computer, I developed my knowledge on them by studying various books and magazines about computers. I would use the computer at my cousin’s home and he would be amazed at the knowledge on how I solved issues on anything related to computers. I would have collected games and softwares thinking that one day I will get a computer and these will be useful for me. Whenever I felt bad and was on the verge of losing, I would think of his quote,

I was a guy with stammering problem and was ridiculed for the most. Everyone will be waiting for the moment so that I stammer and they will laugh out. Whenever I felt like crying and thought I wouldn’t be able to speak properly. But all that ridicules made me stronger and I emerged as guy who could win eloquent competitions. All I did was speak within myself and spoke with the trees and the wall. Whenver life knocks you out for anyhting, do not get deterred nut continue to do whatever that we do so that Victory may emerge and we can smile back at the fate which is waiting to ridicule us thinking we will be detered by our intial failures.
And with the introduction of animation movies to me, I took a liking to drawing and designing which made me slef learn Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Everyone would ask me how I learnt or where I learnt Photoshop, and when I say them I self taught myself they will always look at me amazed and ask me to teach them also. I would be very proud and finally when I had myslef my first computer, I really thought how Steve Jobs would have thought when he made a company from nothing and introduced the world to the universe of animation and the world of latest technologies. I was always thought how the man was always thinking of introducing latest technology that only movies featured to even a common man and move ahead. Who would have thought of talking assitant like Siri to be real when only seeeing JARVIS in Iron Man brought us much happiness. The cameras, The Itunes where we can the world music in a place and the Ipods which replaced the nascent Walkmans which required bulk quantities of physical cassettes. I always feel to give something new to this world and have been thinking of give new things, hwich was inspired by him. Eventhough I amn’t a famous person, I will always look upon my persona and will climb the ladders of success and reach the stars one day where my inspiration Steve Jobs will be looking me from Heavens above. The day is not far away and I am looking forward for that day.

Lionel Messi has been exceptionally talented who with his hard work, determination and sacrifices has got better and tougher in his chosen sport so is the Image, reputation and quality of TATA Motors that have transformed brilliant ideas into masterpieces of engineering and created a brand and products that we are so proud of as Indians. Lionel Messi has transformed his body and the mind body co-ordination into a masterpiece of precision and excellence it would not be wrong to say that Lionel Messi is the TATA Motors of sports where as TATA Motors is the Lionel Messi of vehicles both giants in their own spheres driven by the drive to excel and lead by example. These are not mere words but a part of our soul. Not just the ones that we carry around in our individual bodies but that supreme soul that binds us all together in this universe. That is why we teach our children values and morals so that these little pockets of our souls do not die away. But when we look around at our modern day lifestyle and society,it leaves a lot to be desired, right? Wrong 🙂 I would say,as long as we have even 1 shred of humanity left,there is a ray of sunshine and that is what we see here.
I am inspired by your story just as I am inspired by the stories of Tata Motors and Lionel Messi. As I said above about humanity and ray of sunshine, it is very few icons left in this world who make me feel that way. Both Tata and Messi definitely make it to this short list.
When we talk about Tata Motors,we talk about the pride that every Indian feels because this is our truly global brand, a brand with a soul, with every product made to help us fly. This is a corporate behemoth that has not amassed its fortunes at the cost of the little man but by being a part of the very grassroots. The legacy of excellence and giving back to the society selflessly is so ingrained in Tata DNA that it has become part of folklore. Even today,in any Indian home, the moment a son/daughter gains employment in a Tata company, nobody talks about salary or CTC, they just thank their lucky stars that they are a part of Tata family. The very soul of India resides in Tata. Tata Motors has taken these very same values global, making Indians proud of what they represent. ‘Look,we represent excellence, with a dollop of old world values, with love and respect’ !
When we look at Messi, we see a boy with dreams in his eyes and a man who has put everything he had in making them come true, and he did! With singleminded focus,dedication and hardwork, he has managed to outdo every obstacle he faced since his birth personally, healthwise and family financial situation wise. Every obstacle became just another step for him to grow and reach up the sky. And still, every time he walks out on the field, he plays with the same agility, alarcity and a a hunger to prove himself as if it is his first game! He hasn’t achieved his demi-God status without superhuman efforts.
When these two demi-Gods of their respective fields come together, there are bound to be fireworks and that is exactly what it is! Purely from a corporate point of view, there are rare instances when we see such a perfect fit form. It can be called a divine sign that a symbol of vibrancy and dynamism like no other has taken shape with the partnership of Tata Motors and Lionel Messi. When it comes to impact and impacting millions of lives, Yes, we can see both Tata Motors and Lionel Messi being the pioneers here. While the very name Tata is enough to make us go back to all our history books where we have seen there hardly is a comparable name that has contributed so much to the society in such an ethical manner, the very name Messi conjures up images of a boy-man who has turned the world upside down with his talent, determination, discipline and never-give-up spirit. The compatibility between the values they both share is intense and that is the reason this partnership works perfectly.
With a concern for the society at large,everything that Tata has done has inspired us to dream big, conquer the world and pour all our energy back into the society to do good and inspire good. Inspiration is the first word I think of when I am thinking of both Tata Motors (and Tata in general) and Lionel Messi. The story of how they both turned out to be legends is nothing short of a magical tale woven by someone as skilled as J K Rowling herself. While Tata stands for quality, promise (fulfilled), unmatched contribution to society and philanthropy that propels the society forward, Messi’s life is an inspiration just the way he has managed to overcome his health problems and used his family’s poor financial status as an impetus to conquer every obstacle, fulfill all his dreams and encourage many underprivileged people to fulfill theirs too with his philanthropy!
I can see that the values and principles that inspire Tata Motors and Messi are spectacularly similar. It is not just that they are successful, it is how they reached there only with hard work and vision and yet managed to retain down-to-earth grounding plus humility, something many so called ‘legends’ lack! It is not just that they are symbols of prosperity and dreaming high, it is how they have a soul that gives them an aura of invincibility and a reason to the rest of us to try and achieve the same heights,without any compromises on our ethics or principles. No wonder I can only hear positive things about this partnership everywhere. It is just the kind of news we want to wake up to. Everything is fine when these two legacies come together or as someone said, ‘All Is Well’ 🙂

That is a great post that stirs up inspiration for those who read it. Everyone has a penchant towards inspirations and it is the way and our thoughts in which we take forward our dreams with the help of thoughts from our inspiration.
Tata Motors association with Messi is one of the great things that happened in India. Messi is like a demi god to most of the football fans here and it will sure create a craze among young fans especially the football Manics. As I read in your post l, you overcame your fear over stammering and likewise Messi came over his growth deficiency. So having a global icon for an Indian brand is itself a role model to others indicating that Tata is among the elite group of companies that have a global icon. Also it would instill the hope of the nascent growth of football interest in the youths of India. Also Tata may play an important role in the future of Indian football scene by sponsoring them to the global stage. Anyways that was a nice read. All the best for winning.
